...with coconut in hand
The adventures finally begin when the weather cleared and we motored over to Sea Spray Marina in Elbow Cay, south of Hope Town. Golf carts, rocky roads, perfect weather and plenty of terrain combined with a little Kalik (Bahamian Beer) and two 7 year old minds, created plenty of mischief. We explored the island up to Hope Town, where we ate and drank at Harbours Edge and Capt'n Jack's and down to Tahiti Beach for more coconuts, and even ran into someone from Hank's Boy Scouts Troop, David. David and about 8 of his UNC friends showed us to a chill little lunch spot on Little Harbour island, called Pete's Pub. We ate, we drank and we explored ruins and coconut trees on another island near by. The next day, we decided to test our hand at surfing one of the local breaks, Garbanzos, just south of the infamous Abaco Inn. After a treacherous walk/paddle out, we met a few locals, Ben, who lived in Marsh Harbour and an animated older gentleman named Rudd. Two hours of surfing and we decided to watch as the whole island gathered to have a competition. We watched the Bahamian grommets go at it barefoot

(I tip toed with my fins on), then went to try some spear fishing at Tahiti Beach. We retired early again (8pm) to get ready to venture down to Nassau to pick up our lady friends the next day.
