Eating Snow
Is this a ball? Anne and I have been busy as usual. Well, Anne has been
slightly more busy than I. She has been doing heaps of charity works - either with the Salvation Army or wrapping gifts for underprivileged kids. In addition to this, she has also been preparing for the arrival of our very good friends Marc, Lena, and Marcella from Melbourne. They are swinging by for 10 days from their holiday's in the US. Oh, and Anne is also preparing for another of her terrific dinner parties. This time with 28 very close friends :-)
What have I been doing? Well. As the title suggests, it's a winter wonderland here right now. As I type, snow is falling hard, with over 2 inches in the last 24 hours. So I have been getting as much value from my ski season pass as possible! I need to study hard up there on the mountain to keep up with the likes of Anne, Marc, and Ian (who by the way has given me some excellent pointers on parallel skiing!).
Ian and I have been out snowshoeing, which is almost as much fun as downhill skiing. No long lifts required either. No bears
Eating Snow
Do I play with this, or eat it? neither! (Just Cougars....). I think I am going to have to swap running for snowshoeing, as my running is becoming a very slippery affair. Sometimes the roads look like opaque glass, and I slide about like nobodies business.
Surprisingly, with all the snow, I am actually enjoying the routine of shoveling the driveway free of snow. Don't ask me why. Perhaps I am a glutton for punishment. Ask me in 3 months time, and I am sure I will give you a different answer!
Canada Immigration came through with another 6 month visitor pass for us. We are now legal again, until June next year.
Happy Christmas to all, we miss you heaps, and hope everyone has a great and safe time over the holidays
