Lounging
Forget about seperate blogs every day. Its getting way to difficult to update as much as I would have liked. Not that its difficult to find internet connection, but we do seem to be too busy to stop by a cafe to update this blog.

Right now we are in Sapa. A city in the Northwestern area of Vietnam and I am trying to remember what I was thinking when we were in Halong Bay only 4 days ago, and everything that happened is a bit jumbled up.

Lets just stick with a few highlights and hopefully I can do better with this blogging thing.

Hong AKA Pink
Our lovely tour guide. One of our fellow travellers described her as "Made by God, baked by the devil." For those of you who know Qing, just imagine her as being a tour guide, dirty, devious, and mischeivious. It is no wonder that these two hit it off. It must also be that they were both born in the year of the Rooster.

Our Group
One of the things that made this trip so memerable was the group that we had on this trip.
Josh, hailing from Santa Monica, has been traveling the world for the last 3 and a half years.
From Germany, Birtet, has quit her job that she has had for the last 8 years and has been traveling for the past 6 months, and wishes to continue on for 1 more year
The two Aussies, Tasma and Peter. Great fun loving couple.
Jitane, another Aussie who is on holiday before completing his last two years in college.
And Ian, who just like Jeff just recently graduated and is treating himself to an extended traveling holiday.
There were more, but we didnt really talk to them.

Halong Bay
So what can we say about the bay itself? Qing is pretty much speechless about it. Simply just saying that it is unlike anything she has seen before. How often do you see moutains rising out of the water? Photos do not do this place justice, and I will end this by saying that one has to come here and experiance it on their own.

This is also the first time Qing has experianced kayaking. And there is no better place to take her away her virginity of kayaking.

Monkey Island
Anticlimatic. Would have been

much better if they have given us the option to kayak to the island instead of sailing to it on a Junk. If given the option I suggest you jump at the opportunity since you pass by a fishing village that is set on the waters of the bay.

Since there were no monkeys on the beach, the majority of our party decided to climb to the peak of the island. Do not attempt this if you are less than 5'6 in hieght. The rocks are razor sharp and I have cut myself in multiple areas. The view is okay, but not worth the climb.
