Howdy Guys, typical NZ greeting.
Sorry no pictures this time but PC not up to it.
Anyway, to continue where we left off. We went Whale watching in Kaikoura and saw two Sperm whales.
Both about 50ft long, incredible sight seeing them flukeing their tail to dive. They dive for approx 50 min and to a depth of over 1,000 ft down .Also saw a pod of about 200 dolphins. We then drove down to lake Tekapo where we stayed in a palacial cabin that was nothing short of 5star for three days. During that time, we took a plane flight over Mount Cook, mount Tasman, Fox Gacier and Franz Josef glaciers, absolutely awesome, we also took part in a promotianal film for Lake Tekapo video. Next day we walked up hooker valley trail at Mount Cook and later did the Tasman trail upto the glacier, also awesome. Travelled down from Tekapo to Lake Te-Anau. Yesterday, we went on Doubtful sound, morning weather was awful, but the views and waterfalls were spectacular, PM it dried up, the Tasman sea was very rough but we did manage to see the Fiordland crested penguins, fantastic. This morning at approx 4.53 am we were woken by an earth tremor, 5.9 on Riechter scale, what an alarm call. Anyway we have been to Milford sound today and seen some more fantastic scenery, round every corner you see fantastic views. Try to get them on our next blog. Tomorrow we are driving to Queenstown for a couple of days.
You all hang loose now

Earth Tremor!!!
You forget about the disadvantageous of New Zealands South Island. I believe is one of the most active volcanic islands in the world so prepare for more tremors. It makes Sheffield feel safe. However you still seem to be enjoying yourself. Missed the pic’s but I remember from what Jo and Owen said some of the computers were not up to standard. I trust both of you will continue to enjoy the adventure. Me I am full of cold or flu or something. We should have seen John and Linda this weekend for a meal but had to call it off due to the bug that both me and Sue have. With a bit of luck we will get to see them before John goes back to Spain on Sunday. Anyhow as I have said continue to enjoy, love to you both. - Mike
