Well I crossed over to Colombia just about a week ago and have spent the whole time so far just gourging myself on the exotic fruits and enjoying the thriving nightlive here in Cali, one of the biggest cities in Colombia. Colombian woman are very beautiful but I'm sad to say that I've seen more silicon over the last few days then I have throughout the rest of my sheltered life. Round here you can pick up a boob job for around $1500 and if you know someone you probably get it for under a grand, so it seems to be like a standard issue 18th birthday present or something.
And up to now it's been a lot safer then everyone who hasn't been here thinks, and a lot safer then some other places I've been so far in other countries. The only story I've heard while I've been here is of a Dutch guy Paco who I've been doing nothing with for the last week, and he actually got robbed by a Chilean traveller after travelling with him for over a week! Sneaked his credit card one day and withdrew all the money on it before slipping it back into Pacos wallet and he didn't find out till a week later after they'd parted ways.
Turns out one night we were all up playing cards and drinking Cuba-libres in the hostel untill 3 in the morning then went to bed. Paco had done the right thing and walked his lady friend up the road to find her a taxi home, and I was still in the dining room having a bit of a clean-up when the Chilean guy knocks on the door. I recognized him because Paco had shown me a couple of photos with him in them a few days back, so after waking up the receptionist so he could check in I slipped out to find Paco and tell him the wierd news. Meanwhile the chilean guy had seen Paco's name on the residents list and bolted, and we came around the corner just intime to see him jog off down a side street. We chased him, the 1/2dozen cuba-libres seemed to have evaporated from our systems and we chased him hard. Paco got there first and greeted him with a smack in the head then I brought him down with a tackle that would of made Micheal Jones proud. Well I was proud anyway, and we had him! the police turned up suprisingly quick and took charge of the situation with the aid of their big guns, and 5mins later they carted him off for questioning. The next day when we rang to flollow it up he'd already been transfered to the prison in Bogotá because it turns out he'd been running a scam like this all over Colombia over the last month so there were heaps of people after him.
So thats been my excitement for the last little while, pretty cool but hopefully it'll be the only story like that I have to share for the rest of my time here in Colombia.
I guess cos I'm nearing the end of my South American trip I'm not rushing around so much doing so many things and more soaking up as much of the culture as I can before I go North. but yesterday I did was shoot out to San cipriano with Paco and Daniel for a swim which was a great day. beautiful spot out in the jungle, just a bit of a mission to get there but I'll let the photo's do the rest of the talking...

After 2hrs in a bus we arrived in a little town where you can catch a Train-trolly out to San Cipriano. They push these these little wooden trays the bearings underneath along the train tracks with long poles like canal-boats, and if someone is coming the other way the smallest trolly has to vacate the tracks and makeway. we had a couple of close calls but arrived uninjured

very chilled out place with very friendly people, it was a shame we slept in so long that morning and didn't give ourselves more time to enjoy the locals.

Nice
Love the pictures! but I must say this...YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING CRAZY!!!...I'm originally from Cali and travel there frequently, and I probably wouldn't do half the shit you guys did outside the city...If you get a chance to go back, make sure to check out Lago Calima, about 1 1/2 hour away...it's amazing and most of all...dirt cheap.....you can jetski, rent a big ass cabana, go fishing, and meet beatiful girls of course....keep it safe guys.
