had to add all the exclamation marks b/c they're not actually that exciting to look at. summary: the dude who unified China in 221 B.C. spent 38 years building thousands of clay warriors to guard him after death. he's still dead.

this is at an outdoor pool set against some mountains, where the emperor's favorite concubines came to swim.

Xi'an city wall
this wall is pretty old, and the whole rectangular shape is preserved, so you can cruise around the city on top of the wall. very lord of the rings -esque.

...mimicking the other chinese tourists who jumped on me for a photo. apparently i'm a celebrity in some parts of china.
