Trip to Xi'an

Overnight train, about 13 hours.

Just one weekend, but went with ~30 students and ~30 teachers. Much fun!

this is at an outdoor pool set against some mountains, where the emperor's favorite concubines came to swim.

this wall is pretty old, and the whole rectangular shape is preserved, so you can cruise around the city on top of the wall. very lord of the rings -esque.
