Well it is back on the blog again, after an absolutely wonderful break in Yap. Unfortunately as my camera spent most of the week in its underwater housing I did not get many good blog type surface shots. I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Guam and we depart this afternoon for Cairns where I will stay twelve hours and then fly to Auckland. Tom and Shirley etc. are continuing on with the original plan of driving to Brisbane and then flying from there to NZ but I have decided to forgo this section of the trip. Three other kiwis we were with in Yap will join me on the same flight to NZ. We of course had Fireman Cliff with us in Yap and Also our buddy Patrik who has been on several dive trips with us and now works for Manta Ray Bay Hotel. It was good to catch up with these guys and with my many old friends in Yap both on the staff there and folks I have met on my previous stays. Also of course my buddy Bill, his wife Patricia and their kids, with the exception of Valerie, who is studying in the states.

I guess this will probably be the last chapter of the blog as for me now it is really just travelling to re-locate back to home in Rarotonga. Thanks to all the folks who have commented back on the blog, it has been lots of fun writing it and has enhanced the trip for me.

I wish you Gods speed (Especially if you fly Qantas!) Raf

A very good read.
Hi Greg, Never met and am Ngaio's brother. Thanks so much for the amazing account of your travels, enjoyed the small comments, and as much as you seemed to be on the move all the time, you made moments for reflection. Where to next, Russia, China, or Sth America? Looking forward to your next trip, write a book, do a travel doco!! Most presenters are young and bullet proof, and so many travelers are middle aged. Just a thought. Thanks again, Tonk.

Farewell to the Happy Travellers
We loved being a part of your adventures via the beloved Blog!! Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! We had our first big snow fall on Oct. 11 - huge fluffy flakes falling straight down - you would have loved it Greg!! The deer are now eating out of my hand and the cheeky things are now helping themselves to apples out of the tool shed if we forget and leave the door open. See you in January!!
