Wendy paddling in Lake Maggiore
This was taken while the car was being repaired and my swimsuit was in it, so no swimming in the lake and it was absolutely raosting

Road and railway
I liked the way these are crammed between the edge of the lake and the almost vertical hills - I think this is the main railway between Switzerland and Italy

This house is in Barga, just before you turn the corner to Roger & Linda's appartment

Part of a walk from Barg to a nearby village - at one time the mule track was the only access!

The Ponte Vecchio's the next bridge along, but the light was better facing this way

These are really famous, but can't remember who made them. The detail's incredible - and each panel has an equally exquiste scene

Grape transport machine
This is an EC funded scheme to keep the amazing terraces in cultivation - the pickers put the garpes into baskets on the terraces, then put the baskets on this device which brings them to the top where they can be loaded onto trucks
