So yesterday after writing in this i spent the whole day walking around Aukland going from park to coffee shop. It was cool and stress-free. I was gonna go see Napalm death play at a pub, but about 4 the tirdness hit and i felt very very fragile and kinda sick. I couldnt face 3 hours of grind-core, but i didnt want to go to bed ridiculously early, so went to see a play. Didn't know anything about it, other than it had won some awards and was funny. I just needed to relax and let something light wash over me.
It was about murder and child torture, ha bloody ha. But it was good.
Woke up at 3. Took me 20min to work out if it was 3am or 3pm. Turned out it was in the morning. Jet lag sucks.

Had a vegetable kebab for breakfast, turns out this is cheese and lettuce and raw onion in a pitta. Not happy. Also i haven't yet found any soya spread or milk. Not good, may have serious implications although i'm not giving up just yet.

The thing about Aukland (and i'm making guesses here) is its about half the geographical size of London, but with 1/6 of its population. Which gives it a fairly relaxed atmosphere, and the ability to have a (almost) paradise like beach (kinda) in the middle. It was amazing, I'll put up the pictures when i can. But it was deserted! And not a drop of litter anywhere to be seen. Imagine what would happen to a beach in the middle of London.
Also Aukland is the 'crime capital' of NZ but i was in the city centre for a full 24 hours before i even heard a siren! Compare this to london or reading! I think i've heard 1 more since.

Then went to the Aukland museum, which was rubbish! Photos from 1998 and posters of Romeo+Juliet and the Back Street Boys do not count as history!
Also, the size of the kiwi bird's egg compared to its body is terrifying (about 1/4) but having about 4 examples of it in 1 room just seems desperate.

Tomorrow I'm traveling down to see Alex and then on saturday i'm going to check out wellington. So i wont write anything till after that. I think these updates are gonna be regular when everything is so new and i have lots of free time, after that expect them to slow down a lot.

My Mp3 player is totally broken. I have about 3 cds to last me the next year. Unbelievable.
