small roundy and rocky beach, our first stop today.
Today we completed Lake Tahoe on CA side so we drove counter-clockwise around the lake. We started our day by searching for food. We drove back to Lake Tahoe from carson city, NV. After passing several spots we thought we may be able to find food but most of them turned out to just lodges and resorts. We finally got our breakfast at a small restaurant on CA side named "the old post office" because it used to be a post office.

We stopped by a few places starting from a very very small beach that was full of small smooth river rocks. I don't remember the name of the beach. The views along the way was gorgeous and indescribable. At one point I found myself driving on a ridge and I could see blue water from both sides of the windows (Lake Tahoe on the left and another smaller lake on the right). I tried to tame my excitement down a bit since I was driving; I figured the others in the car wouldn't want to see the views at the bottom of the lake.

We stopped by another lookout that was absolutely crowded. We had to park

on the nonparking spot and had one person stay at the car so it wouldn't be towed. our next and last stop for sightseeing was at DL Bliss at Emerald Bay close to south Lake Tahoe. I was glad we did go in to this park even though we were hesitant at first to pay $6 entrance fee. But after we were told that it was good at other parks too, i was totally up for it. we drove into the park and found a trailhead. Doug decided to hike(lighthouse trail) to meet all of us at the beach. When we got down to the parking lot we saw the blue and turquoise water down below. it was spectacular. i fully enjoyed the views from the parking lot for a little longer before hiking down to the beach to join the rest of the family. I didn't take a dip this time because the water was much colder than the beach we went to yesterday. i felt pain in my legs after standing in the water for only a few minutes. Doug finally showed up after 15-20 minutes had passed. He told me how spectacular the views were from the

trail so i decided to hike the same trail. I felt a bit regretful that I didn't hike this trail on the way to the beach. I was hiking away from the beach and had to look back so I could see the lake. Unfortunately, i could not spend as much time as i would like on the trail to enjoy the views from uptop because the rest of us was waiting for me at the trailhead. I would recommend this trail if you visit Lake Tahoe. Breathtaking views are good for you.

We stopped by south Lake Tahoe again to get lunch at a mexican reataurent before headed back to my sister's apt. in Albany.

Lovely photos. I particularly like the one of of the lake framed by the pine branches, and the one of Golden Gate Bridge and the fog.
