The first night in Christchurch Mark and I went out on the town. I have been craving spring rolls, so we headed over to a Chinese/Japanese restaurant. We had a great dinner and then stopped by Sullivan’s Irish Pub. They are in the Guinness book of world records for having the world’s largest glass of beer. I assumed we would be able to order one and hang out there all night, but no, it is framed in a case on the wall. Apparently it holds about 3.35 gallons of beer. It would be fun to have a go at it, but I wouldn’t last long. After a couple of beers, we meet some guys from Ireland and Scotland, but the Scottish guy went on about how I pronounced my last name wrong. Hmm.. .I found it quite annoying that a guy with a completely different last name would have the guts to tell me I pronounce it wrong. And to top it off, he pronounced it the French way. You’d think a Scottish guy would know better.
After he annoyed me, we went down the street to another bar and since it was warm enough we

sat outside for some drinks. We had a great time talking with some locals.
The next day, I had a serious beauty problem. I have a popped blood vessel in my eye. I am guessing it is from the bungy jumping. Man, was I looking hot. (you will notice in the pictures, I kept my sunglasses on). Mark and I did some sightseeing. We got on the tram (trolley) just to find that each stop was only about a 2 minute walk apart. Christchurch is a pretty little city and I would love to see it during their summer when everything is in bloom.
That night, Mark and I had an early night since my eye is scary and I am sore from the bungy jump. I spend the night putting pictures on the blog and watching TV.
This morning (the 11th) we went on a gondola ride up the side of a mountain. It was very pretty and we were able to see baker’s Peninsula. From there we went straight to the Christchurch Airport. I have to say that leaving New Zealand was difficult until we got to the airport. We were over on luggage, apparently we were lucky

not to be charged on the other Air New Zealand flights. I remember complaining about the 25 dollars that BWI charges you, now I would welcome that.
After paying a lot of money for luggage (we really don’t have a lot at all), we had to pay another 25 dollars per person departure charge. We are on an Airbus. Oh my gosh, they must have squeezed in an extra row to make up for the leather seats because there is absolutely NO leg room. I put my chair back earlier and all I heard was the woman behind me complaining and then she pushed on the seat a bunch. But don’t’ worry I gave her the stink eye with my bad eye. Haha. I’m so nice.
So we are now in the air flying to Melbourne. I am very excited to see Australia. Hopefully, we will have internet at each place we go and we will be in each city longer than one night.
