Got up had a fruit salad breakfast and met everyone in the outdoor canopied classroom.

We went through the remaining two chapter knowledge reviews before embarking on the theorie exam. This consisted of 50 multiple choise questions and was rather easy. I rushed it a bit as I was keen to quickley get a bite to eat before heading out to do some diving. Managed to get three wrong out of a possible 12. After lunch I treated myself to an icecream!

At 12:15 we gather our stuff together then hoped onto the pickup and were driven to the pier in Mae Haad where we boarded the sunshine boat.

Today for the first dive we were taken to mango bay which had some very beautiful coral. Dived deeper then I had ever been before (12m) and the hardest part was trying to keep neutrally buoyant and stop crashing into the reef and Fes (who was my buddy). It was so clear and warm (30degrees) Almost got into a little trouble when I started bearing down on this rather large fish. Later Tim told me it was a trigger fish, which are quite aggressive and terratorial (they have a fin or "trigger" above the head which pops out when they are about to go into attack mode). In fact apparently a sure way to get them to attack you is to swim above them. When we surface after 40min we went through a few skills such as manualy inflating ones BCD and learning how to take it off and put it back on while in the water.
While at the bottom myself and Phil took our fins off and attempted to do a sprint race on sandy sea bed which was quite funny.

For the Second dive we went to a place called Japanese gardens. This area has two islands conected together with a sandy causeway. Its an incredibly popular site not only with divers but with island beach tours. There must have been between 6-8 boats when we arrived.

While down at this even more beautiful reef we tried a few more required skills such as Regulator recovery, how to empty a filled mask ect..before embarking on 25min of diving around. Saw some parrotfish and got within inchs of a couple of beatifull banner fish. The reef also had arather large population of sea cucumbers too.

Got back to Sunshine at 5ish, cleaned all our equipment then went and took a shower. Checked my emails before heading down with Fes, Kurstin and Jurgen to the budda restaurant (again!) for dinner.

Later went to the Lazy bar were we had a couple of drinks and took a few photos of the approuching lightning storm (really spectacular) Met a couple called Anne Marie (brit - lovely) and Steve (American, looked a bit like chris Moiles and had a Jack black thing about him - really cool) Chatted into the wee hours of the morning (only 1 really) before going to bed.
