Since I have a lot of free time lately and the 7 days of rain have some how spurred all these ideas and thoughts. Therefore I will say the rain makes me more thoughtful. Well today while I was yet again driving my scooter in the rain and wondering why I just dont wear a bathing suit since I am soaking all the time even with a raincoat on. I had this thought about what people do on first dates in Taiwan during the rainy season. So I thought about what my dream first date would be. So, here it goes!
Well I would like the guy to pick me up on a shiny 50cc scooter with a seat barely big enough for my butt to fit one. And since its rainy season he would have to provide me with a very colorful floor length raincoat with matching rain boots. After doning the hot outfit in the covered parking of my apartment, I would hop on the back of the scooter. It would have a hard time getting started due to our mass combined weight. Once we got rollin we would proceed to the nearest 7-11 with picnic tables
safe from the rain. We would walk in and he would say, "Pick out anything you like, it's on me!" Big spender!! So I would pick out the most delicious looking packaged dumpling and he would find some instant noodles. We could also share a bottle of Taiwan pijio. We would head to the register and we would have them heat up our food in the microwave and since we obviously spend more than 77nt, we would get Hello Kitty stickers, and he would let me have them. How considerate! After he pays we would head outside to the picnic tables, which would be littered with the trash from previous dates. He would so kindly push the trash to the ground then we could enjoy our delicious Sev meals.
After the meal we would put our rain gear back on and head to the nearest arcade for hours of fun. 200nt of tokens and our fun begins!! We play some basketball and race some cars. Of course his favorite game will be the DDR knock off which includes arm movments. So with him and all the game groupies dancing around the games to the hip tunes, I would stand
back with the other viewers. Most would be making fun of them but I would be proud and supporing my date.
After the fun at the arcade we would head to the local night market. Due to the large crowds I would suddenly lose my ability to carry my own purse and he would volunteer to carry my large, pink, shiny satin, purse with a huge bow on it. Actually he would carry it for the rest of the night as well as hold the umbrella over my head to make sure my hair and make up dont get messed up. He would also help me shop and fine the cutest things. We may even buy matching shirts and shorts. If this happens we would immediatly put the new outfits on and walk around the rest of the night matching.
Once the shopping fun is over we will have to go home, since it will be nearly 10pm. We would scooter home and he would drop me off at the front of my apartment and I would wave goodbye, thinking I cant wait for the second date, where will we go??? Stay tuned and find out about my
