Its been one week

Arrived in Jakarta on Friday afternoon. Meet Jessica and her family at the airport. They took me to their house at first as my hotel wasnt available till 7pm. Sat and talked to her Dad for a while and we all then went for dinner.
We went to a small street cafe athat specialised in Roast Duck. The meal was good and i love the fact that in Indonesia most people eat with thier hands. Went to the hotel afterwards and from that night I have been unwell. I had a headache, sore throat, high fever and was physically sick many times.
In one week I have only really seen Jakarta from my hotel bed. At least here though I have Jessica and her family to look after me.

Paul. Sorry you are unwell but I'm sure it will pass fairly soon and you can continue exploring. I didn't realise how long it's been since I last read you blog but you've obviously been very busy in the meantime. I enjoyed seeing the photos and from your description of the temperature, I could almost feel the heat off them. Was surprised you didn't get arrested for writing in the sand, as it seems everything else is forbidden. Hope you recover soon. Take care, Tam
