The Legendary Eddie Munster
taken in Auckland where he now lives in a bell tower.
toke the day off to have lunch and say hello, top bloke.Ex Fenland and best planner who worked there.discussed the
happy times on SAP watching the technical girls arrive to work, esp the little blonde one! well i flew out of Auckland tea time on a thursday and landed thursday morning !
strange thing this date line business.
spent a day around Apia then headed out to Return to Paradise beach,(named after a Cary Grant film)
it was beautiful and i got chatting to two Kiwi Samoans who gave me beer, food and Sprite. top blokes
stayed for a couple of nights above Apia in Cloud 9 eco lodge. absolutely stunning views and i had the place all to myself ! nice bottle of Pinot noir with steak
then got the ferry over to Savai'i.
very quiet except for the mothers day traffic.(they have public hols for mothers day , fathers day and Children day)!
went up to Cape mulinu or soemthing. the last place on land to see the sun set ! not bad except it was a bit cloudy. stayed at a lovely hotel near there which i had all to myself !
next morning went to the little place where there is a Shrek rope bridge and then steps built around a huge banyan tree up to a platform. my knees were knocking worse than
Samoa
me arriving early morning, yes they are real flowers in my fav t shirt stolen in Samoa!
the Bungy jump !
it was about 150 ft up !
then headed back to Apia.
got trapped in the toilet on the packed ferry,(the door handle fell off ) ! had to squeeze through a tiny gap at the top , ripped my crucifix off after it dug a scar into my chest then emerged into the ladies, strange looks from every one !
my last day was even more stressful when i found out that three of my t shirts had been nicked off the line at Princess Tui and then the little stream i had to cross to get back to the eco lodge had turned into a river , so had to dump the car and wade across.
but the people there were beautiful and chilled me out, so did the last of the Bundy !
very religous and stunning villages. all the people i met were nice except one drunk and the t shirt thief !
