Pamela Monroe Wow!!! Where did the last 3 months go?? We have been way too busy for retired people. We returned to Sarasota in mid Feburary and bought a condo in May. We are once again home owners and I'm not sure how both of us feel about that. It was a deal that we just couldn't pass by in a beautiful condo complex on Little Sarasota Bay.

This doesn't mean that our traveling has stopped. In fact,we leave for Europe on June 1. We will be traveling through Portugal, Spain, France, and Switzerland. I will continue to post blogs along the way and let you know what we are up to.

I have included some photos of Sarasota, Siesta Key, the Ringling Museum complex, and our new condo. It's nothing too spectacular, but you can see what we call homebase. We hope that you will be able to come and see it in person sometime. It's a beautiful place most of the time.

Ca d' Zan
Ca d' Zan means "the house of John" (aka John Ringling's House).

The new Big Top Museum Building
This building has the Tipple Miniture Circus on display. The tiny circus covers an area as large as 3 football fields.

This was the original house that was on the property before the land was developed into a condo community.

I have not seen a story on the statue, is this Europa and the Zeus as a bull? Were the ropes part of the abduction myth?

Ringling Museum Statue
I really don't know the background story of this statue. It is in the garden of the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, FL where I live. Sorry that I can't supply you with more information.
