Day 32: Wednesday 7th. June: Sunny: We boarded the ship "NARVIK" at 10.30 and was given the key to our cabin. We thought of 6 days on board so we unpacked everything and did our washing so the place looked like a chinese laundry in a very short time (11am). Next thing the cabin crew were telling us we were not meant to be in the cabin until 1pm so pack everything up including wet washing because the room was not ready for occupation. We started to repack slowly and then were told, it was OK to stay as the cabin had been cleaned. The cabin was OK but the shower was the best we'd had for ages as water went down he drain- not over the floor and out the door.
With the housework done we booked our dinner times and went up on deck to wait for lunch (always thinking of food we are!). At 12.45 the atmosphere was serene and peaceful as we glided out from Kirkenes in beautiful sunlight through the still waters reflecting the coast around us. That was the last we would have of peace and quiet. At lunch we met some fellow Australians and got chatting. Food pretty good and a lot of fish and pastes but we had to buy water or drink tea, coffee, milk, juice etc. mmmm.
Stopped at Vardo and walked around quickly for photo shots and up to the church where a chap would have chatted to us for hours.

Day 33: Sunny and cold: I was awake nearly all night watching villages and scenery as we passed by or called into dock for 10 minutes or so. Great stuff. On-off ship all the time when it stops for long enough. So many places we are going by I can't remember all the strange names. There is more snow on the mountains here.

Day 34: Rain, rain wind and rain: Brekky and then up on deck in the wind and rain watching the scenery as we glide by. Every village has a church. The weather is getting colder 1degree celsius on deck.

Day 35: Sunny: More stops and quick visits of villages.

Day 36: Week 6: Sunday 11th. June: Sunny and warmer: Trondheim; We had an escorted tour through this lovely city to see the many sites, views, buildings, cathedral, houses and the river.
