So back to the story eh?

I arrive at noon at Faro airport down on the south coast. Looks like Florida, but with roundabouts and french cars. I surprise Helenee from behind with Bom Dia, do the hug thing and go find Heleneê´s roommate, Stacia, who is borrowing a car to come get me.
So how do they decide to introduce me to Portugal? SHOPPING! Brilliant. We end up at Faro Shopping Center after getting decidely lost. They go from store to store buying nothing while I sit under a palm tree hiding from the sun as much as possible as my SPF 50 sunblock should be used in moderation.

Afterwards, Stacia as she said wanted to stop by her boyfriend´s place even though I felt it was quite obvious we were already going to be late. We get there, then spend as much time leaving since Faro was designed by a sad labyrinthe builder.

Driving an hour back on the unpatrolled highway to Lagos, we stop at Helenee's apartment Parco de Munho, or something, empty, yet many a wine glass to be found. Helenee and Stacia jump into their work clothing and off they go for their

spectacular 5 - 2AM(later often) shift. I pull out my book and get bookin´. My usual stagnant feeling of reading a book settles in the evening, and I get my sandals on(again finally!) and get shakin downtown. I walk lost as the old town is incredibly confusing, but finally find Helenee's workplace....TAVERNA DO LAGOS! A place I would never go near in fear that I don't carry enough in my wallet to even enter, but now I have a free and easy pass in, meet the Bavarian boss, and get fresh orange juice. Nice.

After irritating Helenee enough I go to The 3 Monkeys bar where i wrote my last entry, a small foriegners bar, where music is blared so loud that all the bartendars voices are scratchy for a reason. I get bored fast, as the free internet there can only be enjoyed with bad music for so long. I walk out and take a look at the walls and fortress of the city. I take a walk through some of the back allies(alleys?) and meet 3 lost man from North Ireland. I rescue them and take them to Helenee's bar as I know nowhere else. They likeit,

and we stay until closing time, 2 or 3am. They stumbled out to their taxi, and Helenee, Staci, and I eventually get a taxi home, and I sleep in my wonderful windowless room with 1 thin blanket. Life rocks.

TO BE CONTINUED, must move
