And just as you were all expecting the title of this blog to be related to food or alcohol, we surprise you (and ourselves actually)! We booked ourselves into a pretty standard sounding hostel in Berlin and we have found ourselves in a forest. Yes, a forest. With wild boar. In a building that kinda looks like the hut at Lake Placid in 'Friday the 13th'. Complete with a dam that might house Jason. We were a bit scared. HOWEVER, its awesome (apart from being in the middle of nowhere)! The people are great and we get to see wild boar. Just like in Asterisk and Obelisk. And we're the only people here! (Consequently, this may be our last blog as it is quite likely that we will be dismembered during the night by some psychomaniac with a pitchfork). Anyways, back to our food adventures...

You will also all be pleased to know that this keyboard is 'aussie', so there will be much less deciphering.

Our last blog was from Bordeaux. We just bummed there, discovered raspberry beer and an awesome bookshop. Thanks again to Carine for having us to stay at what would have seemed like a

totally random course of events.

On to Paris, where we did all the Paris things: nutella crepes, orangina, nutella crepes, macaroons (thanks for the tip leish!), pain chocolat, nutella crepes, pizza, oh and did we mention, nutella crepes. We also snuck in a few hours of conventional sightseeing (the Louvre, climbed Eiffel tower, l'arc de triomphe, musee d'orsay, etc). Plus, we found an ever better bookshop!!! Sof has been inspired to own a bookshop... Zac has bought Foucault in France. The highlight however, was the 24 hours that included a Dali exhibition, the Picasso museum and a David Lynch exhibition (haha tristan). Wow! We also had a trip to the red light district of Montmartre for a Moulin Rouge show... a lot of leg and breast!

Speaking of the red light district... we found out why our hotel in Frankfurt was so cheap quite soon after arriving! Nothing like "world of sex" as a next-door neighbour. But the food was good and cheap too... not to mention the beer, or the pictures of tits with little stars over the nipples. In Frankfurt we discovered pretzels and berlinas. REAL berlinas. They just dont taste like this back home. Plus,

Need we say more?
icecream is top priority with the incredibly warm weather for April. We've had over 27 for over a week!

Sadly, we have had to pack the bikini away as the weather dropped back to a more normal 15 degrees as we have arrived in Berlin. The adventure to our hostel involved a train and 2 buses, plus a walk along a dirt road into a random bit of forest. But a forest with internet access. Not quite what we expected....

Enjoy the pics. We've enjoyed consuming what you can see (except for the boar - we'll start hunting them when the electricity cuts out and we have no food). Until then, we shall eat the local speciality: currywurst.

Keep sending those emails, we love hearing from you all!

Zac and Sof.

A Boaring Holiday
Literary Eli loves the title of this entry, and also thinks you are doing a fine international interpretation of "A Very Hungry Caterpillar" since you are leaving a wake of empty larders behind you. He vomited spectacularly this morning in our hallway due to overdosing on rich food (in his case, undiluted fruit juice) so beware the berlinas. Great to hear your sojourns are such fun, and thanks for the travel tales.

Nice to see you having fun
Hi from USA, I have a lot of fun either. I hope you enjoy your trip. In Warsaw you have to ask for Zapiekanka, you can find this food anywhere. I'm so sad not meeting you, but next time we must check our vacations before travelling. have fun and Do wiedzenia Halina
