i have returned from my monumental whirlwind trip through corsica, sardinia, and italy with my momma. she left this morning, and now i am stuck with choosing from several hundred photos which i should put on here. i have made them a smaller format so that i can hopefully fit more on in a shorter amount of time, so in case they appear pixel-y, that is why. our travel itinerary was as follows:
Montpellier
Nice
Corsica (Bastia, Ajaccio, Bonifacio)
Sardinia (Olbia, Oristano, Cagliari)
Naples / Sorrento : including Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Paestum
Procida, a small island in the Bay of Naples
Rome
Orvieto / Civita
Florence
the Cinque Terre region, mainly Vernazza
notice that this travel itinerary is so classy, it even has been capitalized. in order to maximize my photo uploading, i am going to let the pictures tell the story. there are a lot of them, and they show where i visited better than i can describe it. just know that we were chasing rick steves all over italy, and we heard from many sources that he had just been where we had been, he would soon be arriving where we were, etc. if you don't
know rick steves (armaiti) you clearly aren't watching enough middle-aged-oriented public television! it was a wonderful trip, and i'm glad i got to spend it with my mom. as of now, i have 28 days / 4 weeks left until tommy arrives, and my program is over.

It's true!
I believe that just about every piece of advice from R.S. was good; the hotels, the info on cities and sites, the witty commentary...what a guy. Thank you for getting these pictures up so fast--what a treat to see it all over again!
