Fly From Stansted airport a day late after getting stuck in traffic and missing our flight. We go on standby and get a flight to wroclaw instead of Krakow. Spend 4 1/2 hours on the train to get to Krakow pretty tired so just sleep. Next day up early and visit Auschwitz - Birkenau very sobering place saw some horrific things that shocked us both. Over 1.5 million people exterminated here from 1942 to 1945.
Next day up early again and head to Wieliczka to see salt mines not what either of us expected. Go down into ground 140 mtrs to find loads of chambers and rooms carved into the rock. Full chaples, statues, pictures and chandeliers all carved out of salt cool place real interesting.
Last day get up and take a tour of Kracow visit old Jewish town and Schindlers factory where he saved the lives of 1100 Jews during WWII. Finally fly out 10:00 back to London
