My lovely little kitchen - do I spend any time here? Well, occasionally. A girl has to eat afterall...
Back in Fiji and, I guess, back 'home'. And since this is going to be my base for a while, I am now going to make a determined effort to make it more like home. Starting with my apartment. I am feeling quite pleased with myself because I've finally managed to get a whole bunch of things for the flat, including a very important item: a desk. Well, it's a table but it's definitely being used as a desk. I've also got a fully equipment kitchen now and most of the things for the bedroom and bathroom. What's left? Well, definitely some shelves for books and other stuff which I am sure will slowly accumulate. Then maybe also an armchair or two or a sofa and a coffee table. I am deciding to stick with my no-TV regime as it seems to encourage me to read more and go out and do things more, which is a good thing. I am sure furniture shopping here will be an interesting experience...anyway for the time being I attach some more photos of my beautiful apartment showing the kitchen, the living room (which is huge and still looking a bit empty - but

I kinda like it that way) and the balcony - which would be even better if there was someway of eliminating the mosquitos permanently, although I think I am slowly developing resistance!

My favourite spot to relax and read a book or just enjoy the sunrise (!) or sunset (which are fantastic here by the way)

Which still needs a few pieces of furniture - but at the moment is perfect for doing cartwheels and other capoeira moves!

I could definitely get used to seeing a bright blue sky when I wake every morning. It's just a great start ot the day and makes me feel full of energy and optimism.

Note the single bed, left over from the last occupant - a little Japansese lady...um I might look into getting something a little bigger
