Wow, I'm actully here!!
All that stressing about my visa was wasted as when I arrived at the customs desk all they did was check the photo in my passport and let me through! No questions, stamps or anything. Renate (my boss) was waiting for me and took me by train and bus to my residence in Winterthur, across the road from the hospital. Winterthur is a pretty quite little place (apart from the construction site outside my room!). I'll have a couple of days to have a proper look around before starting work on Monday. There are 2 Candian girls from the department who I met last night and were very nice. They are going to take me into Zürich tomorrow to have a look around there and do some shopping.

Looks a nice backyard. How warm is the swimming pool? Do they use it for skating in the winter? How long have the Canadians been there? I guess you will get on to describing your living space.
