Boeing 747-400
Onward to Hong Kong We arrived at Narita Airport, and checked in strolled the shops. After check in, a few drinks and snacks in the Cathay Pacific lounge, and we boarded our flight, a Boeing 7474-400. Comfortably seated in 2A and 3A, we were offered pre takeoff Champagne by a noticeably friendly crew, all smiles and chatting. Well, these crew turned out to be one of the best crews we have ever experienced! Nothing was too much trouble for these flight attendants! They were so friendly and so professional, and their service was just perfect.
After a wonderful dinner (Paul has the Japanese Keiseki menu again and Jeff had the Western) and some movies and a snooze, we commenced our descent in Hong Kong. For some reason the crew wanted me (Jeff) to come to the galley, but why? Because… there were the 3 crew standing there holding a beautifully wrapped present and card, singing a perfect rendition of “Happy Birthday to you” to me!! Oh my God, how embarrassing!!! And how touching…..wow!! My heartfelt thanks really went out to them, it was as if I was the only passenger on board!
Well after all that excitement, we were quickly through Immigration
1st Class
Cathay Pacific 1st Class and Customs, where one of the 3 flight attendants saw us, and told us she was staying at the Novotel too. She not only escorted us all the way to the shuttle bus, but chatted all the time about what we were doing, where we were going, and just made us feel so special. It was totally amazing service all the way!
We woke up the next day, we were so tired. We had planed to catch the Cable Car which was right near our hotel. The car takes you all the way to the Giant Buddha
We both felt we needed a lazy day to re charge our batteries. We checked our emails and watched TV and basically chilled. Checkout was not till 2pm.
