G'day mates,

How is it going? Australia is heaps of fun, but reality is starting to sink in with 3 more days left.
Yesterday Meindert, Kirsten and I climbed the Harbour Bridge in Sydney in the end of the day and had a beautiful view of the city sky line, the harbour with the sail boats and the Oprah house. It's a 3 hour trip up the ramps of the bridge all the way to the top. Some spots was a bit scary but you are clipped in with a harnas onto a rope. We had fun doing together and the kids thought it was easy.
As I said earlier the trip of a lifetime comes close to the end. But it feels right as I think we did as much as we wanted to do and we saw what we came for.
We had an increadible time together. The mix of Thailand and Australia worked out well. We only saw a little part of Australia but what we saw was great and we would love to come back and explore more in a later time
What makes Australia so different is that about 80%!o(MISSING)f all it's flora and fauna and wild life lives only seems to live here and no where else. Everyday you see things you can't register. It was a whole new world to us and that was special to share with all of us as a family.
Miriam and I are still on speaking terms and we both still love our kids. It will be nice to not have the kids staying with us in one bedroom though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To all the dads out there, if you are able to arrange it with work take some time off and travel. For me it was a dream come through in every sense of the word. The great part is that you do and see new things for yourself when you travel and share that with your kids. It's new to the both of you and I think that gives it a magical feeling. A memory forever!
I was lucky to make it work. With help of Miriam's parents, who looked after the house and dear Baloo, Peter and all the gang at the clinic for looking after the business and our bank/credit card for allowing us to spent too much money.
Down under they call it the SKI club. Spent Kids Inheritance! We made it clear to our kids that they better enjoy every day because there will be nothing left later in life. Meinderts only concern was, if he was still getting our house so he can stay with his friends.
After 2 months away we are all ready to come home and pick up our lives in Canada. I have to say that we have seen beautiful places and done great things but Chilliwack is were we belong {thanks Jody} and feel fortunatelly to live there.
I think this is going to be the end of my Oscar speech and I have to get ready for a date with my lovely wife for an Oprah at the Oprah house. If I'm late I will be in the Sin Bin as they call it here, a Canadian Dog house!
I hope you all enjoyed our logblock and we look forward seeing all of you soon back HOME!
See you all later mates, Remmert.

p.s. We will be the dark skinned people in shorts and T-shirts running around in Chilliwack, sorry......................................not.
