Allepey

Hi Guys

After a quick get away from Kochi (Cochin) we arrived in Allepey where we found a really nice home stay for the night. In the morning we headed down to the back waters to try and hire a one double bedroom house boat for the night. We were lucky and found a punting all inclusive house boat with our own Chef and crew that was a little over priced, but it was New Years eve. We packed our things and set off for the back waters at around 12 noon.

We had a lovely time on the backwaters catching fire flies and dancing with the kids, who were having a New Years eve party on a jetty near to where we moored for the night. They even managed to get Vic to rendition them with "We wish you a Merry Christmas" after I chickened out.

Unfortunately New Years eve was a repetition of Christmas Night as Vic's tummy decided that it did not like chefs cooking, and with no running water and tissue we both had a long night.

We headed back to Allepey in the morning where we caught an auto rickshaw to Kottayam.

Happy Christmas and New Year
Hey there, you both have put some fantastic photo's on your blog, it looks so amazing and like a completely different world out there which im sure it is. I am really looking forward to you coming back with all the photo's and stories of your experience. Missed you both loads of the crimbo period, it was not the same without you.
