So this is Christmas..Romanian version!

May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white! That's what I wish u all friends, family and readers of this blog.

Unfortunately this Christmas wasn’t a white one here in Bucharest.. only for those lucky enough who traveled up in the mountain cities and villages.. Oh how I wish I had vacantion and I would have spend it in a remote village up in Maramures, where people still wear traditional clothes, gather together to sing old Christmas carols, cook divine traditional food and travel on sledge pulled by horses.
Well so far it wasn’t so bad here in the city.. all my foregners friends told me that we, Romanians, spend to much time in the kitchen preparing too many types of food…and I agree.. don’t know how many nations spend an entire day eating what they ve cooked the last 3 days.As I was on fast for the last month or so (no meat or milk, just vegetables), last night after midnight I took it easy.. Dinner with family started at midnight and ended about 3 in the morning when I felt like a stuffed Thanksgiving turkey..
Well as I ve worked all week I didn’t have time to prepare anything, but what r friends for? My only mission was to decorate the Christmas tree at my friends house where we all gathered today.So again 3 hours Christmas lunch this time..a little of this, little of that…time out please…
It seems I ve been a very good girl this year cuz Santa left me presents under every Christmas tree in each house I ve visited..
Well that’s about all for the time being…I have to get ready for another Christmas dinner tonight and same things for tomorrow also and then back to office..So Merry Christmas everybody and a happy happy happy New Year where ever you are!
