Bishop,CA I left Bishop at the beginning of November to do some family stuff. Getting from Bishop to the airport in Vegas 5 hours away became....tricky. Well, why not take a bus? There's a bus that runs from Bishop to Reno. That's about 5 hours. Bishop is just south of Mammoth, a skiers mecca. A bus would be the simple solution. Yeah. My dad spent hours on the phone with the everyone in Bishop including the Chamber of Commerce to find a way from Bishop California to Las Vegas Nevada. There is no bus. When my dad asked, "Why???" The lovely lady informed my dad that they'd have to go over a mountain range. Oh. Ok. Duh!? But, I can catch a bus from Bishop, take a 5 hour drive to Reno, THEN catch a bus to Vegas. Trip total from Bishop to Vegas 15 hours...at least. NOPE. She then gave my dad the number to a guy in town that's started his own service taxing people from the untouchable Bishop to Vegas. He only charges $300. Nope. Ok. Luckily there is an Enterprise in town. So, a car it was.
The drive was BORING. If you've ever seen The Hills Have

Bishop,ca Eyes, and got totally bugged, don't let your imagination run wild if taking the drive. So, blah blah blah. Back on Cape. I worked for 3 weeks. Didn't go to my 10 year reunion, but caught up with a few afterwards. That was fun. Thanksgiving, mom went to dad and Karens house with Carl. Weird, but things went well. I hung out with Carl as much as I could. A friend passed and I was home to go to his memorial service. I'm thankful for that. Now I'm in Florida until the end of December hanging out with my grandmother. Then back to the cape, before heading back to Cali. Busy busy busy. Adam is still out in Bishop. He's made a few trips back to Tahoe to visit with his friends. They've also been down to visit him and climb. I guess its gotten kinda cold out there, but it hasn't interfered with the climbing. What does?
