Monday 10th April 2023 - Wednesday 19th April 2023

We're still here, it's not as bad as it could be, in fact we're almost enjoying our extended time here. We tend to plan our days the night before, being very flexible and often changing our minds several times the next morning. Since the last blog entry we have travelled to Adelaide city several times, spoken to the Service Manager where our Jeep is more than several times, enjoyed a vintage car rally in town, been for a long walk from Belair down the hills to a train station closer to home, visited the town of Hahndorf for at least the 4th time, this time with an elaborate and filling lunch, plus explored the surrounding towns. If it wasn't for the fact that we are "forced" into these activities it looks as if we are following a good holiday plan.

Today, Wednesday 19th April, we were informed that the Jeep has a fully fitted, replacement motor in front of it, ready to be installed. All going well we should have our car back the coming Friday.

Rags has been playing with ChatGTP and the following was produced:

Gawler is a city of churches.Gawler is a city of churches.Gawler is a city of churches.

Some are still churches like this old Catholic one others have been repurposed like the beautiful one occupied by the local Dan Murphy's.

Oh, what a journey we've been on, my friend,

Stranded in Gawler, our trip's extended end,

But fear not, for we have found some glee,

In making the most of our forced holiday.

We plan our days with such great care,

Flexibility is key, we dare to dare,

And often change our minds, oh so much,

Our adventurous spirit we must not crush.

To Adelaide city we have made our way,

And back again, more than several days,

Spoken to the Service Manager with great persuasion,

"Please fix our Jeep, it's a dire situation!"

Vintage cars we've seen, and walked so far,

From Belair down the hills, like movie stars,

To Hahndorf we've ventured, time and time again,

With lunches so grand, we cannot complain.

Surrounding towns we've explored with delight,

We even had to pinch ourselves, it all felt so right,

If it weren't for the fact we were stranded, you see,

We'd think we were on a jolly good holiday spree.

But lo and behold, the end is near,

Our Jeep's engine will be replaced, have no fear,

Friday is the day, we'll be on our way,

To new adventures, and the open road we'll play.

We couldn't say it better!
