Robin and I went our seperate ways for a bit. Here I am in Ko Chang and as far as I know he's in Bangkok doing god knows what. After an excrutiatingly long bus ride or two followed by a short boat trip and sandwiched in between to short taxi rides i'm here. It's alright so far I guess. I wish Robin was here. I think he's meeting me here in a few days.

I took a walk on the beach after I left my stuff in my room. It then occured to me as I was walking that I have never once seen a proper tropical beach. What shocked me the most was that the water was warm. Warm! Can you believe it? It is not the frigid waters that I know and love back home but warm salty water. What a wild and wacky place...whimsical even.

I have fourty something days left in my trip and I am concerned that I will not nearly have enough stuff to fill this time. So much time to fill. I know that at some point i'm going to head down to Krabi and up to Kanchanaburi and at some point i'm going to go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat and give me enough visa time on my way back into Thailand. Could that possibly fill fourty-ish days? I think not.

I realize that this b-log would be much more exciting if it contained photos, but I am unable to find my specific usb cable, but if if makes you feel any better I know exactly where it is in my parents house. It's in the back sunroom on the shelving unit. Fat load of good it's doing there.

I say if you have extra time, go to northern Vietnam - Hanoi/Halong Bay. Or even southern China. Laos is close, too. I bet at the end, it'll feel like it wasn't 40 days, and you'll still have things left on the to-do list.
