Over the last few weeks I have been to Santorini a few times, since our ship stops here every week. This time I decided to try something different and signed up for a visit to the Ouzo Museum and Distillery.

Once we got to the Canava Museum we were greeted by the owner, a very friendly lady. She gave us some insights into the history of the area and into the process of Ouzo and Wine making . The museum is very small, but it was very interesting to see how they made wines and ouzo back in the days.

After the visit of the museum, we made it to the tasting room, probably the highlight of the tour. We tried three different kinds of ouzo, the regular one, which taste a lot like sambuca, and red and very sweet one and a coffee flavored ouzo, which was probably my favorite.

Just when we finished our last shot the owner suddenly jumped up and started dancing the Sirtaki. But she didn't want to dance along so she pulled me and two guest onto the floor with her and we had to do the full song, dancing around the room in front of everyone else.

It was such a fun experience. On our way back we made a quick stop in Oia to take one of the famous pictures of the blue domes.
