This morning we took off from Lukla and returned to the heady (but welcome) chaos of Kathmandu.

I'm recharged ... Bacon and eggs for brekkie
Washed ... hot shower ahhhh
and ready to roll.

I woke up this morning at 4.20 and realised that it was all just about finished. The highs have been extremely high and the lows extremely low. The was no middleground to ponder. A true rollercoaster life experience. I hope you've all had a taster of the trip through this blog. It has been a fantastic experience, with some fantastic people. I have seen things to make me appreciate home so much and people to make me much more angry, wiser and knowledgeable about the environment, ethics and poverty 😊 you can all look forward to a new bout of journalism again soon.

Today I'm going to get out and explore a few bits of Kathmandu and acclimatise to the pace again. I am well again, stomach and everything fine if a little saddle sore.

You've all acheived so much and I'm really pleased to see that together we've raised over 4,000 UKP. This is a fantastic achievement.

There are many interesting people in my group. A lovely lady called Babs Powell (star of Pans People) and Robert Powell's wife (Holby City, Jesus of Nazareth) asked us all to write in a book she bought called Reflection's on Everest. I wrote....

'Everest is the freak product of a collision of two plates. It has become a metaphor for the West's obsession to climb physical things. As much as I admire the energy and ability of those that have climbed the summit, I hope that we will start to see more people pursuing alturistic goals which can be just as challenging and more rewarding.'

See you on Wednesday my friends.

PS Next year I think I'll hang up my boots for a bit and do a parachute jump!

What an achievement, well done. We're all proud of you here in the office - we've been looking forward to your blogs. Glad to hear you're better now (and you can imagine Graham's relief!). Hope you enjoy your last couple of days there.
