March 2020.
Pre Lockdown. Happy on the Gisborne rail trail with Warwick. No idea what was in store for the rest of 2020. Yes!!! Looking back on a year that will certainly be remembered and written into the journals of history, 2020 was certainly different.
So different that at certain times I just so wanted it to go away.
And thats from someone living in NZ and well away from the nightmares that so many people around the world had to live with.
But!!! Yes, But. I look back on so much from this past year with so many fond memories of things I did, things that I saw, things that other people achieved. Some of these things would not have happened if it had been the norm type year. So that is why I can forgive 2020..
I know there were so many sad, bad, mad happenings during these trying times. I am sure that people all over were bought to tears when reading or hearing so many sad stories.
Yes. I say goodbye to 2020 with mixed emotions.
With Sorrow. For how much suffering so many people around the world had to endure.
With Thanks. For how we are blessed by being in a country that is so isolated from the rest of the world.
April 2020.
So this is lockdown.
We were blessed with the weather which made it a little more tolerable. Personally. I was so upset that Chris and family couldn't come to NZ for Christmas and that we couldn't go to Norway
for our annual catch up with him and his family. But this was nothing compared to what so many other people around the world had to put up with.
Hoping that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that New Year was enjoyable.
I am looking forward to this New Year that we all hope will not be as challenging as 2020.
Looking forward to perhaps getting in a few adventures.
