We left the campground fairly early and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We were not surprised that we had to wait for a table, but we were surprised we were seated outside on the front porch to eat. Timmy was thrilled with his big stack of pancakes and we were happy to get coffee at last. After breakfast we stopped by Walmart to pick up a prescription we had dropped off the night before.
The drive across New Mexico was fairly uneventful until we got about 10 to 15 miles west of Santa Rosa, when Kerry pulled over to the shoulder of the interstate. The truck had suddenly overheated and, upon opening the hood, was dumping water. We knew we couldn't drive on so I Googled towing companies in Santa Rosa and called the first one on the list, Ortega's Towing and Auto Repair. They sent a truck out and the driver, Andrew, loaded our truck on the tilt-bed and then hooked up the camper to the back of the tow truck. He brought us into Santa Rosa and dropped the camper at the campground and took our truck to Ortega's yard.
At the campground Timmy found kids to play baseball with and is now a baseball fan. We ordered dinner from the campground restaurant and turned in early.
19 July, Sunday
Ortega's called around 3:00 to let us know the truck was fixed and that they would bring it to the campground. We figured the bill would reflect the fact that it was the weekend and someone had to work on this Sunday doing repairs. We were pleasantly surprised at the bill, it was much lower than we feared. The folks at Ortega's were very nice and we are well pleased with their work. They replaced the water pump and the thermostat.
We decided that since it was so late in the day, we would just stay at the campground another night and leave in the morning.
20 July
A pleasantly uneventful day. We stopped for the night in El Reno, OK, at the Lake El Reno RV Park, a beautiful city park (I think) that was next to a lake and very peaceful.
21 July
We turned south at Oklahoma City and skirted Dallas before heading east on I-20. We stopped for the night at Marshall, Texas.
22 July, Wednesday
We got through Louisiana and most of Mississippi before thinking about stopping for the night. By that time I couldn't find a campground that was not way out of the way except some on the east side of Mobile. We figured we might as well head on to Pensacola, arriving somewhere around 8:00. Timmy was so happy to see his family and they him. He hugged and loved on them a few minutes before heading to his room to play Fortnite. I'm not sure which he missed most.
23 July
David had projects to do today so we hung around the house and relaxed. After supper David took us for a ride on the golf cart around the neighborhood. It was a nice night for a ride.
24 July
It poured rain this morning and I mean inches of rain. It finally let up a little around 11 so we decided to hit the road during the lull as the forecast called for rain all day. We ran through intermittent showers most of the afternoon. We finally arrived home around 9:30. It was a great trip, but we are glad to be home.

Sounded like a great trip albeit a bit short.
