See....I told you I still had more delights to share with you. Just trying to keep some of these blogs short and sweet. Hey, I can hear that! That’s okay cause I’m the first to admit I can be quite garrulous.....would you want me any other way? Hope not cause I think I was born this way (sounds like a song by Lady Gaga). My Aunt Phe (a school librarian) said when I was a baby one of my first words was “book”. Many relatives read a lot to me when I was young. I can remember that! I came from a family of teachers. I am grateful to all of them for their entertaining and informative favor. Unfortunately, I did not follow suit. I read but I’m not a reader by any means. I have favorite books including “A Million Cats”, “Homer and The Doughnut Machine”, “Charlotte’s Web” plus EVERY Little Lulu comic ever written, “Twixt Twelve and Twenty”... (Pat Boone was my idol) and “Ethan Frome” and “Cujo”. Combining all this exposure, I obviously increased my vocabulary so I could put a few sentences together. Call them what you may...I just call them our blog. “Our” because, after almost 56 years together, I can read Cory’s mind, share his thoughts and say what he intends to say because we often times find ourselves thinking of the very same thing at the very same time! Spooky. I’m not sure if he really wants to take any credit for all the blabber I record within our blogs. He even fusses about some of the photos I post of him.

Let me see....where did WE leave off? Ah, yes....I finished one of my shorter memos.

One activity we find most enjoyable while here at our park is riding around Tropical Palms on our golf cart. It’s a four seater so no problems for our happy troop to fit on it nicely. When Lulu rides, she puts herself up on the dash area....kind of like a little hula dancer or a dash cam. Driver Cory covers the park in a uniform fashion. It is a great opportunity to see many of our friends relaxing on their porches or next to their RV’s, just taking a stroll or heading off on a mission. The other day we found a group of friends gathered at Dave & Linda’s. These friends made their circle bigger so we all could fit in. I used the “pano” setting on my IPad camera to capture everyone in the photo. I like using that for wide or very tall photos. Try it, you’ll like it!

A quick trip to Costco always means a stop at one of our favorite eateries. Bar Harbor Seafood. Remember that place? They are the distributors of all kinds of seafood to all the various restaurants in the Orlando area. I’ve told you all this before. You can also order and eat there, too. Dining is outside on the picnic tables. Sandy and I usually get their 1 lb.++lobster but they only had one claw this time.....boo. No matter, my equal favorite is their scrumptious lobster roll meal. Oh, to die for. Used to be $7.99 back when....now $11.98 but oh, so worth it! Yummmmmm. We’ll be back!

Sometimes our ventures hit a little snag. As we were going somewhere; sometime.....Sam encountered a problem and needed Sandy’s assistance. Cory and I stayed in the background. Cory found some pliers for Sandy to use so off to work she went. I’ll let the photos tell the story or you can try to figure out what the heck was going on! Not a serene picture! Poor Sam!

Nervous about the water problems (black water) in St.Cloud, we were hesitant to go to one of our many favorite restaurants in Florida....The Catfish Place. Finally, a deep pining for their food overtook our fear. Goody. They have world famous hash browns.....so says Sam. They are good!! So good! Sandy and I agree that their fried shrimp is the best of any restaurant where we have been. Oh, yes! Thee best!!

We know you are worried about Lulu as much as we are. She’s still struggling. Her AA appointment is coming up soon. Cory and I will probably have to go to the Al-Anon meetings. Trying to build her up, we found her some “feet”. These are really sandals but we think they might just work....IF she had legs. Piece by piece. Isn’t that how the Bride of Frankenstein came together?

OMG. I’ve done it again. But not purposely. It just happened....remember “Things Happen” or if you watched Forrest Gump...”Sh_t Happens ?”. Oh, by the way.....I did get Cory’s ringtone straightened around. Now when you call him, “Sandy’s soothing and subtle signal” will now politely speak to him: CORY, CORY....ANSWER YOUR PHONE!

Anyway.....Cory asked our daughter, Lory, to retrieve some information from our safe so he could use it for our taxes. Our safe is secured back “home.” She found the folder with a bunch of papers and took it home to read......way too cold where she found our safe. The other day she wrote to us and it read: “Wow - nothing like opening the folder to read, "If you are reading this, we are dead........" LOL but not really. Years ago, I wrote a letter to all our children to be read by them after our passing. Just one of those memory letters when I was feeling sentimental. I put it in our safe. Certainly not to be read at this time! I told her to flush it from her mind and reassured her; we were healthy and still going strong. No Heaven’s Gate stuff going on here. Sometimes unexpected things just happen when you least expect them. Yup! Poor Lory.

Saturday, we tried to ploy Sam out of his RV with a trip to a flea market. Nope....his heated blanket, heated floors, fireplace and comfy lounger held him captive inside his motor home. The brisk air and self-protection from germs took precedence over any old flea market. There’s always tomorrow when the sun shines brightly and heats the air into the 80’s. That will bring Groundhog Sam out of hole! We’ll be there waiting.

In the meantime, Cory and I decided to head off into the distant yonder. We’ll save the flea market for Sam — so what to do now? Bong! We have an idea. Let’s go to the Hard Rock casino in Tampa! Oh, yes...let’s do it! Cory’s eyes began to glisten. Preferring to avoid the traffic on I-4, he took another route. It was good until we stopped at a Camping World near I-4. Here, he got on the dreaded parking lot highway: I-4. Sure enough....we sped at a snail’s pace. Several fender benders brought the traffic almost to a halt for hours. And we were part of it. Rats! Eventually, we arrived at this gambling Mecca. Breathlessly, we ran to the entrance. Ooooooo, the bells, whistles and flashing lights brought that warm feeling back over us...well, over Cory ...aka Mr. Lucky. I’m not lucky and proved it again. My stash was eaten quickly by those hungry slot machines. My cash-out tickets consisted of $0.04, $0.79, $0.08 & $50.45. Big deal....I won’t tell you how big my stash was in the beginning...I was a loser! And then there was “you-know-who”. He showed me his tickets: $1.35, $0.89, $5.65, $28.45, $134.43, & $487.62. Whew! He covered my losses and we still had some chunk change. It wasn’t like his cruise winnings but he still came out a winner! And he’s my winner! Oh, lucky me.

Now another decision. Eat the ginormous pot pie at the casino restaurant....ooooooo, sounds good or go elsewhere. We chose elsewhere. Elsewhere is Willies Restaurant. It used to be an old fish camp. We have been here many times before...usually on their “all you can eat days”. Saturday was not one of them. Not a problem. Their servings are always more than adequate.....you do not leave hungry. I usually get their catfish but today, I followed Cory’s order for shrimp. Great choice! Their shrimp equaled The Catfish Place! I’m still licking my lips and drooling just recalling them. Cory tried avoiding the tortuous I-4 again and headed home another way. OMG! Had all the I-4 traffic detoured over to the road we were on?? We had failed to remember that the Plant City Strawberry Festival was going on. We were like flies flying into a spiders web! We were stuck! Stuck in horrible, horrible traffic....for hours on end! Cory finally got us out on I-4 and we felt we were on the Daytona speedway! You win a few...you lose a few. C’est la vie.

Always like to end these chatty morsels with a good taste in your mouths. Thus, more Eagle pictures. Some are just pairs, some are mating, some have eaglets while others are setting on their eggs. So fascinating! Hope you like them as much as I do.

Catch you next time around! 14 photos...take a peek!
