Maricopa Beuno Vista Trail Head
Happy 60th birthday Ron! ?
We had a really good sleep and then joined the family in their Phoenix morning tradition of having a Starbucks coffee in the spa. What a great way to start the day. Could be dangerous if we decide to add a. spa at home (not much would get done). We had a light breakfast and then headed off to the BeaunoVista Trail Head. After a steep winding road to the top of the mountain we headed off for a walk. We decided to head towards the Fat Mans Pass. It was a beautiful walk with plenty of Cactus dotting the walk.
Rob and Scott decided to do a different walk so Penni, Karly, Ron and I continued along the walk. We noticed a number of little lizards and squirrels. The views were spectacular as we weaves our way along the trail. We made it to Fat Mans Pass and were glad that we all were able to make it through to the other side to see Hidden Valley
The views were amazing and well worth the walk. The hike took us about 3 hours and worth
every minute. We had fantastic views over Phoenix down below us. On the way home we visited a cute little ice cream shop that is a step back in time to the late 50’s. It is still run by the original owners. We had a walk around and bought a couple of souvenirs. We headed back home and then went
out for authentic Mexican. We had a great time chatting and eating. When we arrived home Karly brought out a birthday cake for Ron. We all shared the cake before going back into the spa. What an absolutely wonderful way to spend Rons birthday.

Yum, ice-cream!
We have had holidays when we have been eating so much ice-cream, usually in the afternoons, that we have invented the phrase ice-cream o’cock! As in, gee it’s the middle of the afternoon it must be time to find an ice-cream ... or gelato works when in Italy. ?????T
