We all met for breakfast at 07:00 and Rusha met us. I thought she was going to sort out finances for our trip. We owed money for the bungee jumps but she owed us for the cheaper day tour and for the lunches and dinner at Pokhara. I aked her about it but she said she was going to just leave it. I also figured that it would work out about even so we were happy to leave it as well.

Nick’s pick-up was due at 07:00 but was a little late so we had a chance to say goodbye. After breakfast we finished packing and were ready on time fore our 08:30 pick-up. It was also a little late but traffic was fine and we got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Our line for check-in was short and opened just as we got there, so good timing.

Everything went smoothly, and I was able to change our random seats on the last leg home to three seats together. We then went through security and found it very busy but were lucky enough to find a couple of seats. Krissy found Nick as he was still waiting to find out which gate he was departing from. It’s not a very big airport and only a few shops, but none after you pass through security. After Nick departed Krissy and Mitch talked their way outside of security to spend the rest of their money and our flight boarded pretty much on time and we arrived on time at 18:55 Guangzhou time. This gave us just 90 minutes or so to look around before boarding our final flight.

At the Guangzhou stop the security check was unbelievably strict considering we were only in transit. I ended up having to almost empty my carry-on bag before getting through. We all then got a bite to eat. Krissy and I decided to have some dumplings which were fantastic. On board the China Southern I ended up with a dodgy entertainment unit w hich I wasted a lot of time trying to make workand they ended up giving me a tablet to use instead but this only had Chinese movies and TV shows, so I wasn’t the happiest passenger on this trip, but in any case most of the time would be spent sleeping so I was happy just to do that.

Daisy had taken a day off school and picked us up which was really nice and Krissy picked up Nick later on that afternoon as he was on a different flight to us.

It was certainly a great adventure and challenge for all of us, and extra special for me to have two of my children with me.
