It’s 7:30 ...I rollover, Kirsten is already up. I pull the covers over my head and hope no one finds me. It’s 8 am and I finally get up and stumble into the kitchen. Breakfast is on the patio table Kirsten, Bea and Omi are all buzzing around the kitchen like bee’s. I slide through the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee and sit down at the table. I don’t believe I was even noticed. I guess I have my stealth mode on. Kirsten comes out to the table, I look up and she looks at me and says, here is your list of chores. My chores include feeding the mule, the sheep, taking out the trash, helping Bea with the vacuum and bringing all my laundry to her to be washed and finally put away my clean laundry. It’s supposed to be a rest day, sleep in, lay around the house like a sloth, rest day, yeah right.
Chores are done, Omi fixes lunch and we sit down. Kirsten details out our agenda for the afternoon. We finish lunch, clean up our dishes and we’re all load into the car. I load the address into Helga “the Navi”,
Google & Apple maps and off we go. You ask why I load it into all of our devices. Because they all come up with close but different instruction. Try it sometime, so far Google Maps seems to be the most accurate. Not a big fan of Google but their map is pretty good.
We arrive in Nantes, this is the big city closest to the house were staying in. We find the “I” the Tourist office, remember ...always go here first. It’s next to the cathedral and the chateau/fort.
We plan on coming back here and visiting all the sites but today were relaxing and just browsing Nantes. Because it’s a rest day. LOL.
After visiting the cathedral and chateau we sit down and have beer before coming home. Omi ask Bea, how do the flights look? Bea sighs heavily, thanks for reminding me Omi. I haven’t looked because I don’t want to worry. My ass puckers remembering “Planes, Trains & Automobiles”. Kirsten takes a sip of her beer and says; Omi I’m sure Bea has a backup plan.
We came home and decided to have cheeses, meats, olives, bread with olive oil and a
few bottles of wine for dinner. Yea, I like this whole French life style.
We played gin rummy, Bea lost the first game. On the second, Omi didn’t go out, you know we needed to let Bea win the second game. That way she was in a good mood for tomorrow.
It’s late and off to bed we go, Bea has to be at the airport at 5:30am, she is listed on a flight to Amsterdam, so she can meet up with the Jarrett’s. They are catching a cruise leaving from Amsterdam and cruising around England. That is... if she gets on the flight....
As I fall asleep, I’m still trying to figure out what is plan B.
Good night

Nantes Cathedral
What a beautiful cathedral! I remember studying it in Art History at Kent State. I know you're all having fun...so am I when I ready the blog. Look forward to seeing you all when you return.
