So to begin with I really wasn’t sure about this trip. I am really not keen on travelling in cars they make me feel a little queasy. I must say that it has some great advantages, I love being with Phil and Bernie every day and they have only left me on my own once or twice for short periods. Even then I can stand on my hind legs and look out the front of the van to see what’s going on or I sometimes get a sneaky curl up on the sofa. I also don’t sleep in my crate anymore downstairs all alone but right next to my two favourite people who are just behind the curtain. I don’t have to wake them up at 6 30 every morning because I am lonely. Usually Phil walks me around 7 ,7.30 but it has been known for Bernie to take me out. When I get back from my walk I am ready for a play with my loud squeaky toy. Sometimes Bernie and Phil don’t seem to want to play with me but I find if I persist, jumping up or dropping it at their feet they give in. I must admit there is not much room for throwing and fetching in the van and I prefer to do it outside
At first I barked at all the lorries and big vans that went past just to scare them off but I have been told off so am trying to be good and not bark so much. I went to see a lovely lady in a big bright white building the other day and she gave me a treat in a bowl which was delicious, phil tried to give me something later on but I resisted eventually though he won. They keep saying it is because of ticks and they shouldn’t let me roll round in the long grass. I love rolling in the grass it makes me feel so so good, it must be one of my favourite things to do. I have also got a lovely new lead it is purple, I was a bit bored the other day and chewed through my old blue one. Phil was really cross when I also had a little chew on his sandal, whoops. They have now got this new tie which I am not sure about, it is red and very hard to chew and they put it on whenever I am sitting outside the van.I have had some good walks but I didn’t really like that thing we got into the other day where we paddled out onto some water. I don’t like to get wet so I kept an eye out to make sure we headed for dry land. I hope we don’t do that any time too soon. There are some strange animals out here, things that are quite big and scary and one that I encountered today which took no notice of me even when I barked. I have also been made to travel on some things which I find scary, a big ferry boat, the train that goes under ground, a swinging bridge but I think I have been very brave and if not Phil will always pick me up and then I feel safe. Now we are in Norway we have been on lots of boats, some I can go upstairs in but others I have to stay on my own in the van.
