On Val's 60th birthday we enjoyed a pleasant drive from Robertson to Knysna stopping at Stellandam for a coffee and then Mossel Bay for a sushi lunch.

In the evening we went to an Italian restaurant.

Our airbnb property in Knysna was situated up a hill overlooking the town, the lagoon and the sandstone cliffs known as the Knysna heads.

From Knysna, our base for 3 nights, we visited the Knysna forest and spent some time walking the National Park trails. We saw a large baboon family.

In mid afternoon we drove to Brunton Sands where we had a light snack at Blu Haven followed by a nice walk along the beach with the waves crashing in.

Next morning we had a super breakfast at the East Heads café before driving to Plettenberg Bay. Natures valley was very scenic with good birdlife.

In the afternoon we visited Birds of Eden a massive aviary. It was like walking amongst the tree tops with lots of different birds to admire.
