Here we are, the glamour stop of our little cruise. I love St Barth, my second time here. The fun part is that I'm almost a month late on blogging, and I'm writing this blog about one of the most glamorous place on earth...from Congo!

First rule, St Barth is a pretty hilly place, so make sure you rent wheels. Second rule, nothing is cheap in St Barth, but it doesn't mean you cannot find a good deal. Third rule, get organized...not a lot of cruise ships comes here...but when they are in port, it's better to book your wheels ahead!

We could rent the cheapest car for a 70 euros rip-off, but it's much more fun to rent a Mini Cooper convertible for 105 euros per day. Be warned, roads can be super narrow in St Barth, do not be tempted to rent something too big....we saw accidents. The same does apply also for those renting a scooter...but careful on the road....2 passengers on the Club Med 2 excited with serious crashes!

Last time, we stopped for lunch at Eden Rock....pretty stunning place...and it hurt the credit card big time. This time, with our Mongol friends, we stopped in a little local restaurant in one of the villages. Amazing fish, nice little rose...and actually, a very smooth bill! Nice! St Barth is international....you speak French here, but English too!

St Barth is also all about top hotels. But they are currently all closed...let it be Eden Rock, Cheval Blanc or even le Troiat. This is due to hurricane Irma...but here there is a lot of money...and a lot of money to re-built. You can't charge 800 euros for basic room if it's not at least perfect...so all the top places are closed...ready to open even more fashionable by the end of 2018!

Today St Barth is well known as the place where Johnny Hallyday has his tomb....he died at the end of 2017. Well, as he is now all over the french newspaper about the battle for his will...he may have already turn around in his tomb!

As you can guess, there was for us some beach time. We stopped at the relax Eden Rock beach, but not only. With so many hotels still closed...we had the places for ourselves....very jet-set indeed! We did also the stop by the top of the runway at the airport....just to see those planes landing right on top of our heads....pretty impressive.

By 6pm, it was time to return our very cool orange mini convertible! We spent some time walking the streets of very lovely Gustavia. Here, you find Hermes, Cartier or Louis Vuitton....but no sales here in the end of January...so time to go back to the ship for few bubbles with friends!

That was a day, but it was not over. We had also an amazing sunset while reaching the Club Med 2 by beacher...just and amazing view!

Only one blog to come, but few more islands on the way...coming soon....
