Okay folks just to prove we were not lying about the roads, we took a few shots on the way to Lake Maggiore. You can apologize after viewing them.

Arrived at Lake Maggiore early and drove around a bit. The weatherman (or woman) should be fired for missing this forecast so badly. It is simply a beautiful fall day. Temp in the mid sixties.

Poor 'ol Dawgs are in the dog house, and the Jackets have no stinger left. We expect our Birds will assuage Georgia pride tonight. Go Falcons!

Still beautiful even if weather not perfect. Looks just like House Hunters Internstional. What are your apartments like? When were most of these structures built? We should be ashamed at how we just abandon structures in the U.S. Of course

The apartments almost invariably are refurbished older buildings. The one we are in now at Lake Maggiore the owner thinks is 100 years old. We think it is a good deal older. The space she developed is excellent, perhaps the best we have bee
n in. Very spacious and modern. You are correct, they build differently here and also repair rather than replacing. We went to a preseason game before leaving for the trip and sat next to a couple visiting from Switzerland. They could not understand why we were tearing down the current stadium to build a new one. After several confused questions we finally said "it's because this is America". Okay, then they understood.
