The Lipizzaner stallions of the Spanish Riding School are the real thing. The precision of these horses would put a well drilled college marching band to shame. Unfortunately photography was banned. Certainly, rule following Fred and Sheila obeyed this😉. In fact, we did sneak a picture, not great, but you can see some horses. There were 5-6 separate performances, most with about five horses, and no horse performed twice as too much stress if they did. But the best was the last one with eight horses performing in precision. We captured a picture of some of the horses and managed, unlike some other folks, not to be apprehended.

Later in the day we viewed another part of the Habsburg Palace. Actually, the Palace is more like a city and contains many distinct parts. We choose the only other place to visit as being the Treasury. Strange name as no money here but rather valuable nonetheless.

Ah, the poor Habsburgs forced to live in all that splendor with gold and gems. The Treasury contains an enormous amount of gold and gem encrusted clothing, swords, goblets, bowls, etc. My camera has a couple of memory cards capable of capturing well over 1,000 images. If we were to take a picture of everything, the memory would be challenged. There is that much here, overwhelming. And the cheapest one is way more than we could afford even after winning the lottery.

As for tomorrow, we had intended on a stop in Bratislava, Slovakia on the way to Budapest. But these old folks are not doing terribly well with these two day stops, so we will skip it. Do hope to take a look at St Stephens Cathedral here, however, and then say a fond farewell to this grand city with its many pleasant citizens. Stay tuned.

Looks like some fancy stuff. Pretty fancy seating to see the horses, too.
