Think we all slept pretty well and with our pre-packing last night, our check out went pretty smooth. Grandpa up and showered by 7:00, Grandma by 8:00 and Brennan by 8:30. Times may vary but this has generally been the routine all week.

We caught the 9:15 bus (#635), right outside the Hotel Novotel. The stop also serves one of the remote parking lots so the bus was full. At the airport, we didn't know if Air Canada was in Terminal 1 or 2. After asking several "Official" looking people, we were sent back and forth in Terminal 1 before finally getting the right info that we were to be in Terminal 2.

{As a side note, we think Brennan was a little disappointed that he didn't get to ice skate at the airport rink or the one in Salzburg.}

After getting in the right terminal, it was a breeze checking in, going through immigration, and finding our gate. Grandpa waited at the gate with luggage as Brennan and Grandma went in search of some last places to spend euros.

They returned about 11:00, just as pre-boarding began, with coffee, a donut, lebkuchen, and salzburg Mozart chocolate. Brennan had wanted a new Germany sticker for his suitcase, but none of the shops had one.

The waiting area was packed for the 777 airplane (3-4-3 seating). In boarding group 5, we were a little worried about finding space for our three carry-ons, but it turned out to not be a problem.

We had a OK meal of chicken & vegetables or pasta. We had two chicks and a pasta. G&G worked on the journal while Brennan watched Ice Age 4, Ghostbusters II and Eddie the Eagle (partly filmed in Garmisch).

Played some Huckly Buck, had another snack (beef or veggie wraps) and cruised into Toronto.

We walked forever and Air Canada Express is in a very remote area of the airport. It didn't help the the red roller bag stopped rolling! Brennan and Grandpa waited at the gate while Sue walked the 10 minutes back to the commercial area to look for a Canada sticker; she struck out.

30 minutes before boarding they changed our gate from F84 to F87! Though a hassle, it all worked out, as we left on time at 4:35. Because it was a smaller plane, we had to gate check our bags.

Brennan finished his 400 page book just as we landed at BWI at about 5:50, 10 minutes early. Bligh and Dan spent Thanksgiving in NC but drove back today, so Dan was able to pick us up.

Thinking that our seventh annual Thanksgiving/Christmas G,G & B vacation went pretty well,!we are already day dreaming about next year!!! Auf wiederschan!
