Yep, I did 8 nights in Dalmatia and doing 8 nights again this year. Skyeurope.com flies pretty cheap into and out of Dubrovnik and Split (and Zagreb I think). Do the ferries between the islands. This summer I am doing the popular places again. Split 1 night, Hvar 1 night, Korcula 3 nights, and Dubrovnik 3 nights.

Gorgeous over there and so much fun! Reply to this

Hi

I am living here in nice town Split beside the sea and yes you can enjoy here at summer.
I can give you some answers firs about price of accomodation . Hostels and even 2-3* hotels cost from 25,30 USD(hostel and also rooms, private accomodation-)and hotels wich includes breakfast from 40-50 USD. Bottle of water costs 1-1,5 USD. You can get good basic lunch for 7-8-10 USD Coffe cost 1,5-2 USD(depends in which area exp. if you are in Dubrovnik you will pay 3-5USD) Cappucino 2-2,5USD. If we dont include fly tickets I guess that you need for 2 months stay here-including , stay in hotel/hoste/lunchl...about 5000- 6000 USD for 2 months. But in that case I would raither suggest you to hire a house for 2 months to pay less then i hotel, even I most say that hostels and 2,3* hotels are in good conditions.
What and where to go....Island Hvar beside wonderful sea you can enjoy in night life Dubrovnik and at very popular beach Zrče near Krk …dancing on the beach very loud music …cocktails’ ...
Island Brač have popular beach Zlatni rat for windsourfing ,Island Vis oooo that is pure wilde nature
Anyway if you need any help here you just contact me!

Best Regards from Croatia Split

It's a great country! Really good air and rail links within Europe to Croatia. Keep n eye on lastminute.com or travelocity.co.uk or other aggregate travel websites as good value deals on air transport can be had. British Airways also have fairly regular offers. One option could be if you are in the UK or wherever is to travel either to Ljubljana in Slovenia or Budva in Montengro and travel along the coastline through Croatia. Stunning scenery. From memory, Dubrovnik is about 3 hours from Budva. Reply to this

Croatia is a nice place for holiday vacations. I will recommend Biograd n/m. It some 30 kilometers from Zadar and Šibenik. There are National parks near by: NP Kornati, Np Krka, NP Paklenica.
The majority of sports and recreational activities are organized as part of the rich program for guests at the tourism complexes. For those who love bicycling and nature, there are unique bicycle paths which circle through the Vransko Lake Nature Park.

I visited Crotia last summer. Went to Split, Hvar and Zagreb. Really one of the best places, beautiful beaches and we stayed in this gorgeous little hostel which was actually this little old ladies house- she took care of us, and still loved us when one of us broke a bed!

Couldn't recommend Croatia enough! Reply to this

loved Croatia - have been there twice ;-) First time we stayed in Medulin near Pula (a lot of Roman ruins there incl small colosseum) and second time near Zagreb. My favourite place would be Lakes in Plitvice - what a place ;-) Reply to this

You'll have a great time! We arrived in Split (main ports up north) and went island hopping down to Dubrovnik (main port in the south). Dubrovnik is just awsome by the way and spend a few days in this place and Split was not that exciting.. For the Islands... well they are all going to be great fun in summer but others on here have mentioned the more popular.

For finding a place to stay, we didn't book in advance (even in Dubrovnik) and turned up in the boat and the hostel/b&b owners will be waiting to offer a place and prepare to haggle down 😊

But yeah it can be crazy at times but also you will find places to yourselves.. If you decide to go inland head to the waterfall region.. Cant remember the name but if you type in google it will come up.. spectular spot! Reply to this

I must agree whit all of you. I just love travel around Croatia. So for this summer I visit island of Brac. And have to say that it is very beautiful island and the highest of all Dalmatian islands. I visited almost all places, travel and explore. I recommend too all of you to visit this island, it has so much too see and people are so kind. In the end I must tell that anything of this wont be possible to see whit out rent a car <snip> and there is one called e-rentacar.

enjoy

Croatia is wonderful place to visit in summer. There are lovely resorts with great beaches. The Old Town of Dubrovnik is also very beautiful place to stay. However if you decide to visit it during the summer you have to book accommodation in advance. I can recommend you to check <snip>
