Hi,
First of all i do not mean to say that this the best period to visit India. But to visit Rajsthan during this time can be a wonderful experience because the desert will be looking green because of the farming ang grasses growing around. In the mid day it may be too hot but you can enjoy in the morning and it the evening and take rest in the mid day.
I think that 2 full days are enough for visiting Delhi. Try to book a hotel in the heart of the city (Cannaught Place). In Delhi you should visit OLD Delhi. To visit old Delhi you can start by Metro from Cannaught Place to Chandni Chauk(Takes 10 minutes to arrive) (The famous Bazar, Market of Delhi, Small streets full of shops, near Jama masjid. You can do a Rickshaw Ride. In front of Jama masjid is Red fort (Capital city of Emperor Akber). Then you can visit Rajghat where Gandhi was cremated. In the evening eat in a local restaurant in canaught circle (dishes like:Paneer Tikka, Chiken Tandoori, Pulav and sweets like Rasogulla will be very tasty not costly too.
If still not tired can have a walk in the evening on the India which 5 minutes from cannaught circle, where you can meet hundreds of local people who making Picnic with their family........Very beatiful view and lighting system from you can see the famous president house and parliament of India (British Architect).
Next morning visit new delhi :Start with Humayun Tomb, visit lotus temple very beatiful symbol of all the religions are same then qutub Minar and eat in a Garden restaurant (Park Baluci) in the heart of nature called dear park, can see animals.......in the heart of the city big forest garden, to take relief from the hot weather..i..
Then must visit Delhi Haat in the afternoon (Its a market where you can see the handicrafts from each regions of India and eat food from each regions, I am sure this is the typical place you will like the most........
then 3rd leave for jaipur spend 2 days there..............
then spend 1 night in Bikaner
then spend 2 nights in jaisalmer ....go for camel safari.....enjoy the sun set there with folk dance
then spend 1 night in jodhpur.........
then go to Udaipur on the way visit Ranakpur temple of Jains its wonderful
spend 2 nights in Udaipur..........
Then take a flight come back to Delhi......
Go to Agra....spend one night there.....
and then you can go to Khajuraho (Temple with erotic figures of Kamasutra)...
Then from there can take a flight to Varanasi................
