Though in Spanish, this blog has a list of the least visited countries including Tuvalu, Bhutan, Greenland, Kiribati, etc. I guess the names of the countries are very similar in every other language. In this list even Liechtenstein is among the 15 least visited.

Reply to this Tuvalu and Kiribati probably get more "travellers" than they officially report - its a coral atoll a lot of yachties doing the south pacific stop at along with Kiribati. I stopped at both on my first long ocean trip - Tuvalu btw was asking for the entire country to be given refugee status in NZ or Aus and were refused by both countries on the grounds that their island was not sinking, it was doing what coral atolls do - in the 60s and 70s sea levels receeded (due to ocean currents/geography and tides) to the point where they were receiving aid because the reefs were so exposed they were having trouble getting out to fish. Its an interesting read - they were touted as being the worlds first environmental refugees - until climate patterns from the past showed the fluctuations around the island as being part of a normal cycle...theres a lot of good articles about "worlds first environmental refugees" and the other side of the coin -

I'll bet if everyone on Travelblog made a quick trip to Liechtenstein that we could alter the data significantly.
Reply to this That stuff's really hard to measure. There are probably several different versions of this list depending on what you consider a tourist, where you get your data, what counts as a country and what doesn't etc.
Reply to this Maybe we should measure which countries have the least blogs from Travelblog. That would tell us something.
Reply to this LOL - Lunch in Liechtenstein anyone??
Just a thought, dont some of the tour bus routes go through Liechtenstein??
Reply to this Lunch sounds very good - hows 2014 looking for you guys?? I can be in that neck of the woods then :-)

Reply to this Did Liechtenstein, dream of Bhutan...but hey, no dreams, just projects...and yes,in 2 weeks I'm going to one of the 4 on the message 21! Youppie!
Reply to this I wonder what would be the definition of tourist, Iraq and Afghanistan would receive more visitors then we believe, but many of these are from people with financial or humanitarian reasons for doing so. For those who just wish to see a country for no financial gain or humanitarian reasons, I'd say that Chad, Central African Republic and Somalia don't get too many, with Eritrea being up there as well. I've not been to any of these. In Asia, East Timor would get few tourists, though I did meet one person who did so.
The country with the least tourists I've encountered was Yemen. North Korea had a surprisingly larger number of people than expected, with most of these being Chinese.
Reply to this The least visited country might be Bhutan or North Corea. Both have strict limitations on the numbers of foreigners visiting. Even Greenland probably has more visitors, and Liechtenstein for sure. Liechtenstein buzzes with tourists in the summer. The small number of entries is probably due to the fact that it's so small (and boring), so there is not much to comment.
Reply to this I was reading this blog and thinking of my trip to Bhutan where they restrict the number of tourists to around 10,000 a year. Not sure what the actual numbers are. Then I remembered reading about the Micronesian Island country, the Republic of Nauru. This country made the news due to their large phosphate deposits, the result of seagull droppings. I just checked out handful of TB from Nauru and it actually looks quite nice !
