Looking forward to my first St Patrick's Day-proper in Ireland - but this time last year, I enjoyed a rather surreal celebration on a container ship between Singapore and Australia, complete with Irish girlfriend singing karaoke with the Filipino crew
Reply to this St. Patricks Day in Butte, Montana is truly a cultural experience. The town used to be the largest copper mining town in the US and has a very large Irish immigrant population. They take their St. Patty's day seriously and the streets are packed with lots of beer and dancing and good times had by all. It's a blast right up there with their Evil Kenival Days (a Butte native) festival that they hold each year.
