Best place to get a dress/suit made?

Any suggestions on where would be a good place (or where would not be a good place) to get a wedding dress made while we are traveling in Thailand? Also a suit for my fiance? About how long should we plan for this process? I've heard there are taylors everywhere, particularly Bangkok and Chiang Mai that will take a photo and recreate the dress or suit you want, but I"ve also heard the quality varys widely.
