My brother is still missing

Missing in Arequipa region since Nov. 3rd

My brother Asher Green has been missing in Peru since Nov. 3rd. In his last email on the evening of the 3rd from the town of Chivay (near Arequipa) he said he’s leaving the next day to trek in Colca Canyon for approximately a week. We haven’t heard from him since. Expeditions into the canyon and large scale investigations have given us no trace of him. Two members of the family have been at the canyon for two weeks conducting searches, and the search is now in the hands of private investigators, since we believe this was a criminal assault. If you saw him during your trip please contact us immediately.

Description: He is around 175 cm tall, well built - a bit chubby, green eyes, short light brown hair. He has a big scar on his right cheek. He is traveling with an American passport, as well as an Israeli one. He speaks fluent American English and Hebrew, some Spanish.

Gosh, how frightening. I am very sorry to see this. I spent a few days in Chivay and also went to Colca Canyon from there but I did not see your brother (this was back in February). Scares me to think something happened to him since I found Chivay to be one of my favorite little villages in all of South America. Thinking positive thoughts for you...I hope you have heard or hear something soon. Reply to this

It makes you wonder and look back all the places you have traveled when you read something like this. I am heading to Peru in March, so you think it's worth it.

I have 27 days and don't have a clue other than MP, Trujillo, Ajicama.... Reply to this
